“The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”

— James 5:16b

Thank you LGC family for your faithful prayers!

Please let Sharon Stultz know if you have any new prayer requests for publication in the Prayer & Praise email only, at dan@stultzphoto.com by Monday at NOON.

From the Frasers:

As I sat in the jail praying that the Lord would send at least one person to my Bible study who needed to hear the gospel, a young man arrived. He turned out to be a tenderhearted and thoughtful guy who was in protective custody and would not have been allowed to attend the study if any other inmate had shown up.

He has been listening to The Storyteller. More importantly, he had just finished reading Revelation and wanted to know more about hell. So, we talked about it and looked at some Scriptures. It was the perfect setting to share the gospel.

I had hoped to meet with a different inmate that day who I already knew, because he was being transferred soon. But it became clear to me that the Lord worked it out for this other young man to meet with me instead. Please pray for his salvation.

Last week we received a call from a former inmate, Robert, an Ojibwe in Wisconsin who had heard The Storyteller while in jail. That is how he had heard the testimony (unexpectedly) of his Uncle Gordon who was tribal chairman and is now with the Lord.

Robert was already familiar with Gordon’s story because Robert’s mother had helped lead Gordon to the Lord. Hearing the testimony on The Storyteller moved Robert deeply. He is now a professing believer who yearns to live right.

Robert asked for a CD of that episode to share with family and friends. We sent multiple copies of the CD as well as The Storyteller app cards for distribution. He plans to share them at the halfway house, casino and elsewhere on the reservation. Pray that Robert continues to follow Jesus and that his efforts to share the gospel would be fruitful.

In November we asked for prayer for our dear friend’s niece who professed faith and was seeking him out for spiritual help. It was a very encouraging moment for our brother who longs to see his family saved. However, since that time, things have not gone well. We met with her this past Friday. It was tough. It was heartbreaking. She is a troubled soul. The Lord knows. We are praying and committing her to God because there is nothing too hard for him. Please join us.

God uses difficult situations to bring us along in our faith, trust and dependence on him. Please pray that we will be as faithful and courageous as we should be. It’s one thing to say, “If God is for us who can be against us?” It can be quite another thing to live it out. Yet, who is like our God?

Thanks for standing with us. Psalm 46:10
